LESTER R. CHRISTIANSEN's Obituary
LESTER R. CHRISTIANSEN, 77, of Aura, MI., passed away Saturday, June 7 , 2008 at Bayside Village in L'Anse, where he had been a resident for a year. He was born in Madison Lake, SD on November 8, 1930 the son of the late Rudolph and Hazel (Nicholson) Christiansen. Lester attended school in South Dakota. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.. Lester married the former Helen Pickard in South Dakota in 1978. She preceded him in death in September of 2004. Lester owned and operated a farm and raised pigs and soy beans in South Dakota until his retirement He moved to Aura in 2003.
Mr. Christiansen is survived by his step-sons, Robert (Mary) Chenoweth of Aura, Art (Sharon) Chenoweth of Pequaming, and Theodore (Charlotte) Larsen of Shawano, WI. , sister, Betty (Don) Hind of Brookings, South Dakota, 3 step nieces and nephews and 2 nieces and nephews in South Dakota.
Graveside services will be held later and interment will take place in the Pequaming Cemetery.
