LOUISE M. FERGUSON's Obituary
LOUISE M. FERGUSON, 93, of L'Anse, MI. passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit. Her passing came after a lengthy illness. Louise was born in New Baden, IL., January 1, 1914, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret(Bedeau) Louwaerts. She resided in Detroit for many years and worked as a line operator for the Sanders Candy Company. Louise retired from Sanders in 1976 after 22 years service. She married William Todd in Detroit in 1934. He preceded her in death in 1980. Louise loved to be in the garden, enjoyed picking blueberries and spending time at Otter Lake. In 1993, Louise moved to Baraga to be with her daughter.
Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her loving daughter Peggy (Howard) Laitala of Baraga, 6 grandchildren Michael, Elaine, Dan, Linda, Edward, and Cheryl Laitala., step-grandchildren Elissa and Johnny, great-grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Ryan, Rory, Regan, and Easton. She was preceded in death by a daughter in 1953 and 1 brother.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ferguson were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 5 Mi. Rd., Livonia, MI. Interment will be in the Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia. The family received friends in L'Anse on Monday, September 10, 2007 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse who has been entrusted with service arrangements.
