Lowell J. "Joe" Soli's Obituary
Lowell John “Joe” Soli, SCPO Retired, age 77, of Iron Mountain and formerly of L’Anse, MI passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, MI. He was born in L’Anse, MI on October 7, 1942 the son of the late John A. and Marcella V. (Braeger) Soli. Joe graduated from L’Anse High School in 1960. He served in the United States Navy for 22 years. Joe was a member of the American Legion Post #144, the L’Anse VFW Post #3897 and the Fleet Reserve Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting and crossword puzzles.
Joe is survived by his brother Randall “Randy” N. Soli, Sr of L’Anse, sister Sharon L. (Ward) Perrow of Marquette, MI, nephews Randall N. (Shannon) Soli, Jr and their children Jeremy, Justin and Kayla, Robert A. (Katherine) “Katie” Soli and their children Kaile, Nora, Noelani, Rio and Keathi, Philip (Katherine “Kathy”) Soli, John Perrow, nieces Dana Moran and Keri Meilstrup, 5 grand nephews and 3 grand nieces. Many cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Military honors and graveside services for Joe and his bother Randy will be held in the Pequaming Cemetery on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 starting at 10am.
The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with the arrangements.
