Lucille I. "Skeeter" Jorgensen's Obituary
Lucille I. “Skeeter” Jorgensen, age 84, of L’Anse, MI passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. She was born in Upton, WY on November 13, 1938 the daughter of the late Lloyd and Wilma “Billie” (Barritt) Jorgensen. Skeeter graduated in 1956 from Sultan High School in Washington. She had freelanced in the beauty industry as a beautician until her retirement. Skeeter attended Zeba Indian Mission United Methodist Church. She married Randall “Randy” Bell at the Zeba campground in 2001. Skeeter enjoyed crocheting, collecting salt and pepper shakers and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Skeeter is survived by her loving husband Randy of L’Anse, sons Rick Jeffries of Seattle, WA, and Rob (Leah) Miller of Billings, Montana, 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her sister Troyce Jorgensen (Robert Huffman) of Seattle, WA. Numerous other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Zeba Indian Mission United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Miller officiating.
The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
