MARCELLA V. SOLI's Obituary
MARCELLA V. SOLI, 95, of L’Anse went to see her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Bayside Village, L’Anse following a lengthy illness. She was born in Wabeno, WI. on July 27, 1915, the daughter of the late Edward and Flora (McDermid) Braeger. Marcella was a graduate of L’Anse High School, class of 1933. She married John A. Soli on November 16, 1935. He preceded her in death on October 26, 1950. Marcella worked as a cashier and teller for many years at the former L’Anse Commercial National Bank until her retirement.. She was a member of the L’Anse United Methodist Church. Marcella enjoyed crocheting, needlework, painting, gardening, and loved music.
Mrs. Soli is survived by her loving children, Sharon (Ward) Perrow, Randy Soli, and Lowell “Joe” Soli all of L’Anse, grandchildren, John, Dana, Keri, Julie, Randy Jr., Robert, and Philip, great grandchildren, Eian, Aubrey, Joey, Erik, Lukas, Jacob, Kaile, Nora, Jeremy, Justin, Kayla, and 2 more soon to arrive, nephews Gary and Morgan, and niece Linda. She was preceded in death by her sister Ruth (Otto) Luoma, sister-in-law E. Lorraine Londo, and nephew Norman R. Londo.
Funeral services for Mrs. Soli were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 from the United Methodist Church, L’Anse with Pastor John Henry officiating. The family received friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment took place in the Pequaming Cemetery.
