MARGARET LEAF's Obituary
Margaret Leaf, age 63, of Watton, MI passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette following a lengthy illness. She was born in Watton, MI on May 7, 1949 the daughter of the late Eino and Hilda (Rajala) Kytola. Margaret graduated from L’Anse High School in 1967. She was employed for 20 years by the Covington Rest Home as a cook. Margaret was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Covington.
Mrs. Leaf is survived by her life partner Gary Risku of Watton, sons Ronald Leaf of Watton, Jeffrey (Debbie) Leaf of Ishpeming, and Hank (Rhonda) Leaf of Ewen, grandchildren Tristan, Dillan, and Dallas Leaf, Andrea Anderson, Shane and Whitney Johnson, brothers Kenneth (Barbara) Kytola of Watton, and Dennis (Liisa) Kytola of Watton, sisters Marcella (Wilbert) Franti of Watton, Marilyn (Gordie) Koski of L’Anse, and Marlene (Ernie) Orchard of Covington, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also is survived by her life long friends Shirley Younggren, and Shar Sliger. She was preceded in death by her infant brother Morris.
A memorial service for Mrs. Leaf was held at 11 am on Friday, August 10, 2012 from Bethany Lutheran Church, Covington with Pastor Pete Suomela officiating.
