MARGARET A. SALO's Obituary
Margaret A. Salo, 74, of Aura, MI. passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI following a long illness. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 8, 1939 the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Parker) Hendricks. Margaret attended school in Indianapolis. She married Kenneth Salo in Indianapolis on November 7, 1959. He preceded her in death in 1995. Margaret enjoyed dancing, polka music, and being with her dog Oscar.
Mrs. Salo is survived by her loving daughters Karen Salo of Ishpeming, and Sharon Salo of Aura who was her caregiver for the past 18 years, her dog Oscar, brothers Jerry (Bev) Hendricks of Greenwood, Indiana, and Paul “Joe” Hendricks of Metamora, Indiana, and sister Nancy Watkins of Indianapolis.
Graveside services for Mrs. Salo were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Aura Cemetery, Aura, MI with Pastor Judy Mattson officiating. The family invited friends to fellowship and refreshments at the Aura Fire Hall immediately following the graveside services.
