MARION T. NEIBAUER's Obituary
MARION T. NEIBAUER, 87, of L’Anse passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit following a lengthy illness. She was born in Berthold, N.D. on February 2, 1916, daughter of the late Fritz and Celia (Neshem) Ohnell. Marion graduated from Berthold High School in 1934. Following graduation she attended Bismarck Jr. College for 1 year. Marion was employed by JC Penney Department Store in Bismarck as a sales clerk. Prior to her retirement she was a clerk for the North Dakota Department of Social Services. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck, N.D. Marion was also a member of Sons of Norway, Three Crowns Swedish Club, Bismarck V.F.W. Auxiliary and Bismarck Birthday Club. She had been a resident of L’Anse, MI. for the past 3 years.
Mrs. Neibauer is survived by her loving children, Merlyn (Linda) Huso of Helena, MT., Jan (George) Cram of L’Anse, and Phyllis (Dennis) Jacobs of Henderson, NV., 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brother; Millard (Nina) Ohnell of Berthold, N.D., sister; Fern Severence of Ryder, N.D. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Neibauer were held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck, N.D. with Pastor Steve Sathre officiating. Interment took place in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family received friends Sunday, November 30, 2003 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home in Bismarck, N.D. and for 1 hour prior to the funeral on Monday. The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse assisted the family with local arrangements. Mrs. Neibauer’s obituary may be viewed at and condolences sent to www.rfsc.net.
