Mark W. Latvis' Obituary
Mark W. Latvis passed away at his home in Baraga on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the age of 65. He was born on November 6, 1956 to Peter and Viola Latvis in Highland Park, Michigan and grew up in Atlantic Mine. He graduated from Jeffers High School with the class of 1974.
Mark worked as a welder with various companies in the area including Lakeshore, Inc. and Pettibone Corp. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also excelled at pool, darts, shuffleboard and horseshoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gary and Dennis, and a brother-in-law, Aaron Brown.
Surviving is his son, Travis (Shanice) Latvis and their children, Annalyse, Natalie, Emylee and Malakai of Amasa, a daughter Alaina (David) Carlson of Duluth, a sister, Sheryl Brown of Detroit, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2022 in the Mountain View Cemetery, South Range, Michigan.
