My deepest sympathy to Kubby's family, especially her daughter, Abby and her two grands, George and Sienna. Kubby will be missed by all who knew her. The world lost a good person the day she left on her journey. I always said she was one of my last liberal friends in Baraga. Abby, your mother will always be with you and if you listen close, you will hear her. Again, my deepest sympathies.

Kubby was one of the first people to befriend me when I started working for KBOCC in 2008/09. My office was in the library building and over the years we had many good talks about pretty much everything. She was a hoot. Always told it like it was. She was so very proud of her Grandchildren, George and Senia. Always talking about them and the great things they were doing in their lives. I will miss her dearly and regret that we didn't get together for lunch one more time. My thoughts and prayers are with her family in this very difficult time.
