Mary Ann Froberg's Obituary
Mary Ann Froberg, age 67, of Baraga passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI. Mary Ann was born in Newberry on October 19, 1948 the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Dubosky) Beach. She graduated from Baraga High School. Mary Ann married Earl “Ordie” Froberg and remained great friends with him. Over the years, Mary Ann had worked at Pettibone as a secretary, Carla’s Restaurant and Baraga Lakeside Inn as a bartender. She retired in 2008. Mary Ann enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, playing cards including pinochle and cribbage, watching the weather but mostly spending time with her grandchildren and watching their sporting events.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving children Mike Froberg (Jessican Paavola) of Keweenaw Bay, Tom and Julie Froberg of Keweenaw Bay and Heather Froberg (Jim Johnson) of Baraga, grandchildren Bryant, Bailey, Hillary, Tyler and Harlee, great grandson Kade and brother Bob (Della) Beach of Keweenaw Bay. She was preceded in death by her brother Sam Beach.
Funeral services for Mary Ann were held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel with Father Corey Litzner officiating. The family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Interment will take place in the Baraga Cemetery.
