MARY M. LINDEMANN's Obituary
MARY M. LINDEMANN, 85, of L’Anse passed away Sunday, January 2, 2005 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Unit following a lengthy illness. She was born in Alston, MI. on July 27, 1919 daughter of the late George and Margaret (Grant) Clisch. Mary attended Alston High School. She married George White in 1937; he preceded her in death in 1954. In 1965 she married John Lindemann in Baraga and he preceded her in death in 1980. Mary was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, Assinins, MI. She was active in the Baraga American Legion Post 444 Auxiliary. Mary had been an area resident for over 40 years. She was an avid reader enjoying historical and mystery novels.
Mrs. Lindemann is survived by her loving daughter, Susan (Gary) Auge of Flint, MI., 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Kenneth, 1 great-grandson, 1 great-granddaughter, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
A memorial funeral service for Mrs. Lindemann was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2005 from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Father Chacko officiating. Interment will take place in the Baraga Cemetery in the Spring. The Baraga American Legion Post 444 Auxiliary conducted a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. The family received friends on Saturday, January 8, 2005 from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Following the memorial service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and luncheon in the Harrington Gathering room, located at the funeral home
