MARY O. DISNEY's Obituary
MARY O. DISNEY, age 75, passed away Monday, March 3, 2008 at her residence in Covington following an illness of several months. She was born in Ironton, Ohio on June 19, 1932 the daughter of the late Lee A. and Mabel Moore. Mary married Thomas E. Disney in Toledo, Ohio on December 25, 1955. They moved to Covington in 1991. Together they operated Disney Bait and Tackle in Baraga. She enjoyed gambling, fishing and spending time with her dog.
Mrs. Disney is survived by her loving husband, Tom, daughters, Cheryl Mae O'Barr of Melvindale, MI. and Debry L. (Donnie) Paquette of Covington, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward in 2002, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Disney were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2008 from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Elder Donald Petoskey officiating. Spring interment will take place in the Baraga Cemetery. The family received friends on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 from 6 until 8 pm. at the funeral chapel and for 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. Following the service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and luncheon in the Harrington Gathering room, located at the funeral home.
