MARY T. WATTERS's Obituary
MARY T. WATTERS, 71, of Aura, MI., passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at her daughters home in Farmington, MN, following an illness of several months. She was born in L’Anse, MI on April 16, 1941 the daughter of the late John E. and Gloria (Sicotte) Watters. Mary graduated from L’Anse High School in 1959. She married Ron Kissel. Mary then married Earl Tuttle. She was employed as an office manager in the medical field, retiring in 1990. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, L’Anse. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and joining in all their activities, and enjoyed camping.
Mary is survived by her children, Ron (Debbie) Kissel of E. Bethel, MN, and daughter Marla Vagts of Farmington, MN, grandchildren Amanda, Ryan, Angela, Megan, Jenna, Calvin, Anna, Melina, and Enya, brother Joe Watters of MN, sisters Jean (Jim) Westrom of Skanee, Joan Hill of L’Anse, Virgie Menard of L’Anse, Susie (Jim) Tollefson of L’Anse, and Bridget LaBerge of Aura. She was preceded in death by sister Gloria Longman, son-in-law Tim Vagts, and brothers-in-law Duke LaBerge, Karl Hill, and Larry Menard.
Funeral services for Mary were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse. Her son Ron coordinated the gathering. The family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Sunday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Following the service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon in the Harrington Gathering Room, located at the funeral chapel. Interment took place in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
