MICHAEL K. WREN's Obituary
MICHAEL KENNETH WREN, 51, of Mayville, WI. left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 17, 2004. He was born in Milwaukee, WI. on July 16, 1953 son of Kenneth and Jeanette (St. John) Wren. Preceded in death by his mother in 1995. Michael graduated from John Marshall High School in June of 1972. He was a paratrooper in the US Army with a rank of Sergeant. He was employed with A.O. Smith/Tower Automotive and worked in various production and engineering functions throughout his career. In August of 2002 Michael graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marian College, Fond du Lac, WI. with a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Management. Michael was a member of the Chapman School of Seamanship and the American Boat and Yacht Council and was an accredited marine surveyor. Michael’s many interests included hiking, snorkeling, traveling, downhill skiing and reading. However, his passion in life was sailing.
Michael is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa Wren, father and stepmother, Kenneth and Eva Wren, sisters Dorene (Jim) Leichtle, Debbie (Bob) Herbeck, and his fiancée Patricia Rosas. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette in 1995. Michael will be deeply missed by his loved ones and many dear friends and will be forever in their hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, L’Anse, MI. The family received friends at church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Mass. Following Mass a military graveside service was held. Memorials in honor of Michael may be directed to the Hospice of Lake and Sumter, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, Florida, 32162
