Neil W. Pelto's Obituary
Neil W. Pelto, age 63, of North Judson, Indiana has gone on to be with his Savior, Jesus, whom he dearly loved, having passed away Sunday, December 28th, 2014 at Starke Memorial Hospital in Knox, Indiana with his minister/friend at his side, Pastor Ben Carpenter. Neil was born in Norfolk, Virginia on December 27, 1951, the son of John (Jack) and Jeannine (Bellaire) Pelto. He graduated from Baraga High School in 1970, and attended various schools to further his education. He was passionate about his music, singing and playing the guitar, and often times provided music for his Spiritual Communities that he belonged to, wherever he lived. He was an active member of Heritage Baptist Church in Knox, Indiana. Neil is survived by his sons, Loren Pelto of Pendleton, OR, and John Pelto of L’Anse, his mother Jeannine Pelto of L’Anse, brothers Russell Pelto of San Diego, CA, Paul (Lori) Pelto of Clyman, WI, Timothy (Dixie) Pelto of Rapid River, MI, sisters Cathy Bolton-Jurmu of L’Anse, Debbie (Keith) Budreau of Rubicon, WI nephews Timothy (Louisa) Budreau, Troy (Cherie) Budreau, Keith Paul Budreau, Daniel Bolton, Charles Pelto, nieces Jessica Pelto, Jennifer Bolton, Ashley Fetkenhauer, two great nephews, a great niece, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dehannah, and father John (Jack).
A Memorial/Life Celebration was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse. The family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 1 pm until the time of the service. Following the service, friends were invited to fellowship and a luncheon in the Harrington Gathering Room, located at the funeral chapel. Burial took place in the Pelkie Cemetery.
