OLGA MATTSON's Obituary
OLGA MATTSON, 90, of Arnheim Rd., Pelkie, Michigan, passed away Monday, June 27, 2005 at Mather Nursing Center, Ishpeming, MI. following a short illness. She was born in Chassell, MI. on September 1, 1914 daughter of the late Matt and Olga (Buskala) Ruotsi. Olga attended Snake River School in Chassell. On January 26, 1935 she married Wilho Mattson in Houghton, MI. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1991. She was a former member of Elo Apostolic Lutheran Church. Olga enjoyed caring for her home, baking, berry picking, crocheting and canvassing crafts.
Mrs. Mattson is survived by her loving son, Rudolph (Rose Marie) Mattson of Arnheim, and her brother, John (Helmi) Ruotsi of Ontonagon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mattson were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005 from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Judy Mattson officiating. Interment took place in the Keweenaw Bay Cemetery. The family greeted friends on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until time of the service. The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with arrangements.
