PATRICIA F. "PAT" KIMBALL's Obituary
PATRICIA F. KIMBALL, age 70, of Baraga passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette. Pat was born in Houghton on March 15, 1943 the daughter of the late Raphael and Francis (Hilgers) Massie. She graduated from Baraga High School in 1961. Pat was employed by the Ojibwa Casino Motel, Baraga as a receptionist until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, Assinins.
Pat was a very talented artist. She owned and operated her own craft shop, Kadee’s. She had a great love for the Lord and was known for her great values and moral conduct. Pat’s light of her life was her very special grandson Stevie Kimball. For the past year, Pat was mentored by Pastor Mike Jackson and he visited her every Monday until God called her home after a long hard battle with kidney disease.
Pat is survived by her loving daughters Robin (Kenneth) Lindblom, Jr. of Baraga, and Michelle Kimball of Marquette, special grandchild Stevie Kimball, brothers; Robert (Cheryl) Massie of Baraga, David (Sue) Massie of Baraga, John (Cindy) Massie of Keweenaw Bay, Mark (Linda) Massie of Baraga, Peter (Becky) of Askel Hill, Dennis Massie of Keweenaw Bay, Dale (Lorraine) of Baraga, and Tom Massie of Keweenaw Bay, sisters Mary (Doug) Tervo of Keweenaw Bay, Sue Timm of Keweenaw Bay, and Kitty Koski of L’Anse., aunts Marie Hilgers, Agnes Hilgers and Irene (Hank) Nault. Numerous nieces, and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Peter.
Funeral services for Pat were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Pastor Mike Jackson officiating. The family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Following the funeral service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon in the Harrington Gathering Room, located at the funeral chapel. Interment took place in the Baraga Cemetery.
