PATRICK "PAT" J. STEIN's Obituary
PATRICK J. "PAT" STEIN, 43, of Venice. FL. and formerly of L'Anse passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 23, 2006 at his residence. He was born in L'Anse on February 7, 1963 son of Jim and Helen (LaPlante) Stein. Pat attended L'Anse High School. He had lived in Florida for 10 years. Pat was an excellent auto body painter currently working in Venice. He married the former Judith Kirkland on December 1, 1999 in Florida. He was a member of United Lutheran Church, L'Anse. Pat's leisure activities included painting, hunting and fishing.
Mr. Stein is survived by his loving family, wife, Judy of Florida, mother, Helen Stein, brother, Jim (Amy) Stein sister, Kathy (Bob) Larson all of L'Anse, maternal grandmother, Josephine Mihelich of L'Anse, and nieces and nephews, Jim, Lindsay, Kyle, Andrea, Cris and Josh. Other family members also survive. He was preceded in death by his father Jim on April 24, 2003, his grandfather, John, and his paternal grandparents.
Funeral services for Mr. Stein were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Pastor Scott Williams officiating. Interment took place in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The family received friends on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. The family has entrusted the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with funeral arrangements
