PAUL J. LABERGE's Obituary
Paul J. LaBerge, 54, of Pelkie passed away suddenly Thursday, October 19, 2006 at his home. He was born in Hancock, MI. on April 11, 1952 son of Kenneth and Barbara "Babs" (LeDuc) LaBerge. Paul graduated from L'Anse High School in 1970. He was employed by the State of Michigan in the D.O.T. as a mechanic. Paul was an outdoorsmen and enjoyed hunting.
Mr. LaBerge is survived by his loving daughter, Emily LaBerge of L"Anse, granddaughter, Kayleigh LaBerge of L’Anse, mother, Barbara LaBerge of Menominee, MI., brother, Peter (Mona) LaBerge of Menominee, MI., sisters, Jackie (Pat) Chamberlain of Skanee, Margaret (Ken) Peterson of Ishpeming, MI. and Mary Jane LaBerge of San Pablo, California. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey in 1987, his father in 1988, and brothers, Tom in 1990 and Kenneth "Duke" in 2004.
Funeral services for Mr. LaBerge were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Father Augustin George officiating. Interment took place in the Alston Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Following the service, friends were invited to join the family for fellowship and luncheon in the Harrington Gathering room, located at the funeral home. The family has entrusted the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with the arrangements
