Pearl G Carkeek's Obituary
Pearl G. Carkeek, age 93, of Baraga, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born in L’Anse on August 11, 1921 the daughter of the late John and Mary (Conner) Thomas. Pearl graduated from L’Anse High School. She married William Carkeek on November 20, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan. Pearl was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, cooking, baking and sewing.
Mrs. Carkeek is survived by her loving husband William of Baraga, son Ricky Carkeek of
Arizona, daughters Beverly (James L) Mayo of Baraga and Shirley Carkeek of Baraga, grandchildren Stacey and Jeff and great grandchildren Taylor, Lyndsey, Morgan and Kayla. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.
Family services will take place.
