PHYLLIS A. DAULT's Obituary
Phyllis A. Dault, age 78, of L’Anse passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. She was born in L’Anse, MI on February 2, 1934 the daughter of the late Andrew and Lurmena (Foucault) Gauthier. Phyllis graduated from L’Anse High School in 1952. She married Homer Dault in L’Anse on July 7, 1956. Phyllis was employed as the Equalization clerk for Baraga County, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, L’Anse, the L’Anse VFW Auxiliary, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and the American Cancer Society. Phyllis enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. She was a devoted wife and mother and faithfully recited the Rosary on a daily basis
Mrs. Dault is survived by her loving husband Homer, children Laurie (Dave) Washer of Gilroy, CA, John (Laura) Dault of L’Anse, R. Michael (Karen) Dault of L’Anse, and Joanne (Dan) Hochstein of L’Anse, grandchildren Vic, Mark, Jack, Amanda, Dana, Nicholas, Ryan, Kaci, and Nathan, great grandchildren Brandon, Sophia, Victor, Max, Matthew and Isabelle. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her son Jack in 1977, and 7 brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, L’Anse with Father John Longbucco, celebrant. Interment took place in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The family greeted friends on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse. A parish Rosary was recited Monday evening at the funeral chapel at 7:30 p.m.
