PRISCILLA M. WHITTY's Obituary
PRISCILLA M. WHITTY, 58 of Baraga, MI. passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital. She was born in L’Anse, MI. on January 5, 1947 daughter of the late George A. and Leona M. (Perrow) Auge. Priscilla attended L’Anse and Baraga area schools. In 1966, she married Richard Whitty. He preceded her in death in1992. Priscilla was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, L’Anse. She loved knitting, cooking, reading, music, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was loved by her family and friends and will be sadly missed.
Mrs. Whitty is survived by her loving children, Michelle (Edward) LeRue of Baraga, MI., Laurie (Edward) Fox of San Antonio, TX., Amy Whitty of Spokane, WA, and Brian Whitty of Nisula, MI.; 6 grandchildren, Mark Gazlay, Eddie LeRue Jr., Ethan LeRue, Jessica Whitty, Rachael Fox, and Evangeline Fox, sisters; Kathy (Ray) Grady of California, Linda Dault of Baraga, Phyllis (Chester) Porter of Mount Pleasant, and Georgia (Grant) Brady of Baraga. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Whitty were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2004 from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Deacon Robert Wahmhoff officiating. Interment took place in the Baraga Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral chapel on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Following the service, friends were invited to join the family for fellowship and a luncheon in the Harrington Gathering room, located at the funeral home.
