My deepest sympathy to the Turunen Family. Ralph was a wonderful person. I had a chance to work with your Father when I finished college. I've always considered him a mentor in my forestry career. I will miss seeing his smiling face.

Some day we will understand as Ralph and Nancy would not plan to leave their chilren this way. God forgives and has welcomed them HOME together and will wrap his arms around your families to give you strength to bare the overwhelming grief. Time will heal and the good memories will bring smiles again. Be patient and strong and live life like they would want you to with your families. I was stunned and so saddened to learn of Ralph and Nancy's tragic deaths. I haven't had contact with Ralph and Nancy since I was a young grade school student but I remember them fondly and well as the young newlyweds living across the road from us (in the little brown house) with the twin baby boys. They always took time to chat and visit with me and my sisters when we were passing by on the road.
Ralph was a real hero to the Pelkie school students and I well remember well how the news that he was wounded in the Korean conflict made the war so real to us all.
My most heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Turunen and Mattson families.

I worked with Ralph for about six years. Ralph was a nice guy and almost always had a smile on his face. He was a willing and good worker. I had to work very hard to keep up with him. To use a well known phrase, 'he was a good man in the woods'. I enjoyed knowing and working with Ralph, and I will miss him.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I was glad to have visited my parents a couple times over the years, giving me the opportunity to get to know your dad (my uncle). He was a great man and will truly be missed.
