Randall N. "Randy" Soli Sr.'s Obituary
Randall N. "Randy" Soli, Sr, age 84 of L'Anse, MI passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Baraga County Memorial Hospital. He was born in L’Anse MI on August 20th, 1940. The son of the late John A. and Marcella V. (Braeger) Soli. Randy graduated from L’Anse High School and joined the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Randy retired from the Air Force as Master Sergeant in 1985. He was the Baraga County Veteran Affairs Chairman from June 1989 until March 1993 and then the Baraga County VA Officer until December 2003. Randy was a member of L’Anse American Legion Post #144, Amvets, DAV, and the former L’Anse VFW Post #3897.
Randy enjoyed working with veterans and helped numerous members of the armed forces. He loved his music, reading, family genealogy, and collecting mail.
Randy is survived by his sons Randall N. (Shannon) Soli, Jr of Texas, Robert A. (Katherine “Katie”) Soli of Florida, and Philip (Katherine “Kathy”) Soli of Colorado, eight grandchildren, and two great grandsons, his sister Sharon (Ward) Perrow of Marquette and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lowell J. “Joe” Soli.
Military honors and graveside services for Randy and his bother Joe will be held in the Pequaming Cemetery on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 starting at 10am.
The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with the arrangements.
