I learned of Reuben Niemisto's death from The L'Anse Sentinel website. During my 1963-67 teaching years in Baraga, Reuben was head of the school board, and he was always sincerely interested in advancing education and treating everyone fairly. It was my pleasure to have his children in band; he and Margaret obviously were supporting and loving parents. Peace of the Lord to his family.
