ROBERT S. "BOB" HOLMA's Obituary
ROBERT S. "BOB" HOLMA, 35, of Watton, MI. passed away suddenly Saturday, August 11, 2007 at his residence in Watton. He was born in Marquette, MI. on December 3, 1971 son of Marvin and Linda (Rajala) Holma. Bob graduated from L'Anse High School in 1990. He was employed at Connor Sport Courts in Amasa, MI. Bob was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Covington. He was an excellent pitcher and played on the Baraga County and Iron County Softball Leagues. Bob was an avid Lions fan, loved to fish and hunt and liked to just "hang out" with his friends.
Bob is survived by his parents, Marvin Holma of Watton and Linda Holma of Houghton, twin brother, John Holma of Iron River, and younger brother, Craig (Maura) Holma of Iron River, niece, Hannah, and his special friend, Amanda Weaver. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services for Bob were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Pastor Mark Reinsch officiating. Interment took place in the Covington Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 12 noon until time of the service. Following the service the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and luncheon in the Harrington Gathering room, located at the funeral home. The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse has been entrusted with arrangements.
