ROBERT F. HUOT's Obituary
ROBERT F. HUOT, 83, of Pelkie, MI. passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Veteran’s Facility Hospital in Iron Mountain. . He had been in failing health for some time. Bob was born in L’Anse January17, 1924,son of the late Joseph (Jack) and Lumena (Gamache) Huot. Bob attended the L’Anse School, and served in the U.S. Air Force during WW2. He married the former Tiny (Etta Mae) Sipe August 16, 1947. She died in 2000. Bob was employed by Goss Common Carrier in Milwaukee until his retirement. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the L’Anse American Legion Post 144, VFW and the Teamsters Union Bob is survived by his children; son Robert C. (Penny) Huot, and daughter Paulette Huot (John Murphy); grandchildren Lisa, Leon Butts jr., James Huot, Dale Huot, Tammy Larson and Joseph Huot Also nephew Terry Huot, niece Perci Lee Kurtz Grandy and 6 great grandchildren survive In addition, 2 sisters-in law Florence Kunick of Baraga and Luella Morvac of Wabeno, WI., numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Bob was preceded in death by a son James Edward, brother Cyrus Huot, former owner of Gamble’s store in L’Anse, and Oralie Tousignant Kurtz, former owner of Oralie’s Department Store in L’Anse Graveside services will be scheduled in the Spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Reid Funeral Service, L’Anse. Friends may leave a message of condolence at www.rfsc.net. The family would like to thank Bob’s nephews Roy Hakola, wife Tonni and their daughter Amber, Bob Hakola and wife Liz for the loving care they provided.
