ROBERT J. “BOB” LAITILA, 81, of Baraga, MI passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. Bob was born in Trimountain, MI on February 10, 1930 the son of the late Edward and Impi (Keranen) Lait Read Obituary
I was privileged to be acquainted with Bob these past several years. My deepest condolenses are extended to Joan. I know there will be a deep void in you heart after 57 years of marriage. Howard, Edsel, and Roger I pray for God's comfort at the loss of your dear brother. I can still remember Bob telling me that he joined the service to avoid the "shame" of being the first Askel Hill boy to graduate from high school!
I will always remember Uncle Bob for his loving, teasing ways with Sarah and I throughout the years, his easy going and carefree spirit, and of course, his contagious laughter that would have you laughing along with him. May he rest in peace. You know that we are here for you, Aunt Joan and you have our deepest sympathy.

Uncle bob you will be missed and but our time spent together will be in our thoughts each day. All the funny jokes and the many laughs spent together are priceless and will be passed on. You are one of a kind and our family was lucky to have such a great uncle, and friend.
