My Uncle Bob…
I have a beautiful family in the Kissel’s. I would come often to visit my family in L’Anse as a young woman. Before I would head to my grandparents in Baraga, I would always stop at Kissel Chevrolet to see my uncles and my Aunt Kathy first… Uncle Bob and Uncle Virg would walk out from the garage with their jumpsuits on full of oil and smell like a car… Same as my grandfather. They’d always check out which car I was driving at the time and give me the business…
I didn’t spend one on one time with him much… I lived hours away. However, he always made me feel loved and respected when I was with him. He was a sweet man, such a jovial energy in the family; joking, laughing (he had a great laugh!) and always interested in everyone.
He was very loyal to his family and loved my Mom (his sister) and my Dad. I am so thankful that he and Pat had such fun as a couple… their traveling and loving their kids. They were so fun to be around. Always the best host and hostess… doting and kind. Greatly hospitable to say the least! Their home was comfortable and full of love.
I only wish I would have spent more time with him recently.
God bless you, dear Uncle Bob. You were a good son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. Until we meet again , you will be missed. 🤍😇
