Bob was my little brother and when he was about 8 years old our dad was burning some brush and myself and brother Jim were helping , Bob was having fun running through the smoke( yelling smoke smoke) the next morning his face was swollen and eyes swollen shut he looked like a big red beach ball, all you could see was dimples where his eyes should be and big red lips, come to find out we were burning poison oak. Since I was the oldest I had to stay home from school with him and spread calamine lotion on his face and hands all day. What else would a big brother do. Bob made a good decision moving to Michigan, other I missed him. Love you Bob
Bob was my brother that was the closest in age to me. A funny story that I have of Bob was his senior year of high school , him and 2 friends decided to skip school and fly to Hawaii, Bob wanted to see where he was born. Well their trip didn’t turn out as planned, once all the parents found out, the police were waiting at the Honolulu airport and the boys were put back on the plane to Oregon. Needless to say my parents were pretty mad, he had to pay back all the money he borrowed from his friend for this memorable trip of his. So many memories growing up on our farm in Oregon. Love you Bob.
Alan & I planned on attending as Alan worked with Bob @ the tree farm in the past. We had planned on coming over for the poultry after he called last but Alan hadn't been feeling up to it on good weather days. We won't be making it because Alan ended up being taken to MQT. yesterday. I remember well when Bob pulled off behind me on US 41 on a hot day this summer when he saw I was having problems and called 911 for me; he called out to me he was calling for help & told dispatched it appeared to be for an 80 yr. old women. When he walked up to the car to stay w/me until help arrived we chatted and he found out it was me we laughted. He will be missed by many. ~~ Barb. Stockton

My sympathies to Bob’s family for the loss they must feel at this time. His journey does not end and someday you will be with him again.
I’ll never forget the day he sat at our kitchen table while recruiting my daughter into the Navy. His love and duty to this country convinced us that this was the right choice for her and she has never regretted it and neither have we. You can be very proud of him. Our prayers are with you all, may our Lord comfort you and give you peace.
