ROBERT M. BERGERON's Obituary
ROBERT M. BERGERON, 39, of Keweenaw Bay passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Wayne, MI. on September 17, 1965 son of Floyd and Helene (Krzesimowski) Bergeron. Robert graduated in 1983 from Annapolis High School in Dearborn Heights. He worked as a machinist and has resided in Keweenaw Bay since 1996. Robert married the former Rachel Sue Walitalo in Marquette. He attended Most Holy Name of Jesus Church in Assinins. Robert enjoyed woodcrafts, hunting, fishing, music, working on cars and was an all around handyman.
Robert is survived by his wife, Rachel Sue; children, Christopher, Rudy, and Jeremiah Bergeron and Harley Nielsen; parents, Floyd and Helene; brother, F. Leon (Danielle) Bergeron of Dearborn, MI.; sisters, Kristin Bergeron and Jacqueline (Robert) Fraley of Arnheim, and Karen Bergeron of Canton, MI.; grandmother, Dorothy Bergeron and aunt Alyce both of Keweenaw Bay. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Michael.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2005 from Most Holy Name of Jesus Church, Assinins with Father George Maki as Celebrant. The family received friends at the church on Thursday, May 19, 2005 from 6 until 8 p.m. and for 1 hour prior to the Mass on Friday. The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
