ROGER S. McCONNELL's Obituary
ROGER S. McCONNELL, 79, of L’Anse, MI. passed away suddenly at his residence Friday, May 21, 2010. He was born in Detroit, MI. on August 9, 1930 the son of the late Earle and Mabel (Rouse) McConnell. Roger graduated from the Detroit area. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Roger worked in the Detroit area as a purchasing agent for the Cargill Corporation and retired in 1991. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors.
Mr. McConnell is survived by his children Jennifer McConnell and Lori McConnell and Kathleen McConnell of Hazel Park, MI. and his sister June McConnell of Lake City, MI.
Graveside military services for Mr. McConnell were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak, MI.
