Ronald James Jestila's Obituary
Ronald James Jestila, 86, of Chassell, MI passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 11, 2023. He was born in Baraga on January 20, 1936, the son of the late Waino and Rosemary (Vizina) Jestila. Ronald graduated from Baraga High School in 1954. He served in the United States Army from 1958 until 1964. Ronald was a member of the Chassell VFW #6507. He retired from UPPCO after 30 years.
Ronald is survived by his four children Craig (Patty) Jestila of Crystal Falls, Sharri Jestila of Gwinn, Penney (Scott) Jaeger of L’Anse and LeRita (Kurt) Allert of L’Anse, step-son Donald (Audrey) Jarvey of Menomonee Falls, WI, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, sister Shirley (John) Dorsky of Portland, MI, numerous nieces and nephews, and special companion Laura “Lala” Huhta of Chassell. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandfather Adlore Vizina and daughter Ronda Bertucci.
Graveside services will be held at in the Baraga Cemetery
In lieu of flowers or monetary contributions to the family, they suggest memorials in Ronald’s honor to be directed to the Chassell VFW #6507, 42103 Wilson Memorial Drive, Chassell, MI 49916.
