ROSE F. CLISCH's Obituary
ROSE F. CLISCH, 93, of Baraga, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit, L’Anse following a lengthy illness. She was born in Baraga, MI. on May 4, 1912 daughter of the late George and Anna (Butala) Ellenich. Rose attended Baraga Schools. She married David Clisch on November 11, 1933 in Assinins, MI. He preceded her in death in January 2005. Rose was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Baraga, member of the Altar Society and the Catholic Lady Foresters and served as St. Ann’s Sacristan for many years. She was faithful to her church and dearly loved her children and their families.
Mrs. Clisch is survived by her loving children, Gerald (Shirley) of Baraga, Father Norm of Iron River, MI., Paul (Helen) of Baraga, Thomas (Mary Kay) of Baraga, Roland of Baraga, Colleen (Thomas) Armstrong of Milwaukee, WI., and Lisa (James) Mantila of Ishpeming, MI., 28 grand children, 48 great-grandchildren, sister, Margaret Archambeau of Escanaba. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger in 1998, and his wife, Shirley in 2001, 1 sister, and 6 brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Baraga with Bishop James Garland, Celebrant. Father Norm and Father Augustin George along with the Marquette Diocesan priests, con-celebrated. Spring interment will take place in the Baraga Cemetery. The family received friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse and 1 hour prior to the Mass at the church on Thursday. A parish prayer service was recited Wednesday evening, December 14, 2005 at 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel. The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with funeral arrangements
