RUBY M. MANNIKKO's Obituary
RUBY M. MANNIKKO, 80, of Watton, MI. passed away shortly after admittance Tuesday, October 3, 2007 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. She was born in Pickford, MI. on March 3, 1927 daughter of the late James and Ella (Rapson) Fountain. Ruby graduated from Pickford High School in 1945. She married Roy Mannikko on April 22, 1950 in Sault St. Marie, MI. Ruby was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Covington. She enjoyed cooking, canning, making crafts, sewing, crocheting and raising chickens.
Mrs. Mannikko is survived by her loving husband, Roy, children, James (Candy) Mannikko of Painsdale, MI., Michael (Rebecca) Mannikko of Appleton, WI., Bruce (Shelly) Mannikko of Bay City, MI. Ellen (Kevin) Shultz of Rhinelander, WI., and Jill (Craig) Olesnevich of Stafford, VA., grandchildren, Donald, Corrine, Jaremy, Stephen, and Jacob, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters, Jean Wyllie of Los Angeles, and Wilma Lindbergh of San Francisco. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by 2 children, Donald, and Dale, 2 brothers, Raymond, and Glen, and 4 sisters, Margaret, Orma, Reva, and Glenda.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mannikko were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2007 from Trinity Lutheran Church, Covington with Pastor Mark Reinsch officiating. Interment took place in the Covington Cemetery. The family received friends at the church on Saturday from 12 noon until time of the service.
