Uncle Rueben was a gentle kind giant who has left a great legacy for the community of Pelkie and for his wife, children, and sisters. Like his Father, who challenged life in his teens to come from Finland to America. He was so good to everyone, and my family, and always took the time to visit and listen. Many times he and Evelyn would share coffee and Nisu when we would stop by. Let's honor a life well lived!

Rueben and Evelyn visited my home in Finland 1991 and celebrated the May Day in Helsinki with my family. I just had a look at the photos. Rueben explained me almost everything about my relatives in the US and how we are related. It was such a nice and memorable visit that I have always remembered it in great detail.
