To Greta & Family, We were in 4-H in the 50s & met at Camp. It's been a long time since then. I live in Lake Worth, FL & am staying in Hancock with my young brother, Joel (Tennis Academy). I was in L'Anse yesterday with my cousin, Maria, who is one of 8 Storm cousins of ours who lived on the Bay Shore Dr. Liz (Elizabeth), the youngest, is currently there, & we took the eldest (Irene) in a wheelchair to visit the "old home place."
We reminisce whenever we're together, & I recall the L'Anse girls I met way back then--Greta Skuggen, Susie Campbell, Mary Ann Deschaine, Mary Biekkola, Carol Elmblad, plus a few boys--St. John (I don't recall his first name). I read the Gazette & recalled meeting your mother last year when I was visiting up here. I asked her if you were hers.
I think I talked to her at the Houghton County Medical Facility while I was visiting my cousin, Irene Frantti (who is still there). I wasn't able to attend your mother's funeral today but came to Finlandia (my alma mater) to go online & send you my condolences.
