SHARON ANN KEARNEY's Obituary
SHARON ANN KEARNEY, 66, of Covington, passed away Friday, October 24, 2008 at Marquette General Hospital Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Negaunee on July 26, 1942 the daughter of the late Waino H. and Julia E. (Nurkkala) Heikkila. Sharon graduated from L'Anse High School in 1960. She was an order clerk at NAS Oceania for the US Navy. Sharon was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Covington and a lifetime member of the Covington VFW Auxiliary #8945. She enjoyed knitting slippers, was a Green Bay Packer fan, and liked Nascar, football and reading.
Sharon is survived by her loving children, Eddie R. (Jennifer) Kearney of Maryland, and Rae Ann (Jim) Killian of Massachusetts., grandchildren, Ryan, and David, great grandchildren, Colin, Logan, and Benjamin, and brothers, John (Erin) Heikkila of Milwaukee, and David (Candy) Heikkila of Covington. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol.
A graveside memorial service for Sharon will be held in the Covington Cemetery at a later date.
