SHERRIE L. CRIBBS's Obituary
SHERRIE L. CRIBBS, age 53, of L’Anse passed away suddenly Thursday, April 28, 2011 at her home. She was born in Marquette, MI. on August 4, 1957 the daughter of the late James and Barbara (Pleau) Bouschor. Sherrie graduated from Flint Carman Ainsworth High School in 1977. She married James T. “Tom” Cribbs in Flint on January 30, 1976. Sherrie had been employed at a number of positions, including the Hilltop Restaurant, Stump Jumper Enterprises, the Holiday Gas Station, Nite Owl Café, and Janite Home Care. She enjoyed crocheting, rock gardening, walking, making firewood, her dogs, and being outside. Sherrie loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Cribbs is survived by her loving family, husband Tom, sons Aaron (Melissa) Glitzen of Huntington Beach, CA., and James Cribbs of L’Anse, daughters Sandra Cribbs (Shane Pittsley) of Baraga, and Andrea (Joe) Mantta of Alston, grandchildren Jorey, Kaylah, Coby, Alexis, Caeleb, Brendon, Shayna, Dillon, Zoie, and Navaia, brothers Michael Bouschor of Marquette, and Kenneth Bouscher of MI., sisters, Kelley (John) Whiteside of Swartz Creek, MI., and Brenda (Curtis) Taylor of Grand Haven, MI. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cribbs were held at 11 am Monday, May 2, 2011 from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel with Father Brian Gerber officiating. The family received friends at the funeral chapel on Monday from 10 am until the time of the service. Following the funeral service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon at the L'Anse Golf Club.
