SHIRLEY K. HACKEMAN's Obituary
Shirley K. Hackeman, age 73, of Baraga, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. She was born in Escanaba, MI on August 15, 1941 the daughter of the late Edwin and Ruth (Jader) Hanson. Shirley attended school in California. She married Art Hackeman in L’Anse on September 15, 1984. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1994. Shirley had been employed at Pats Foods, L’Anse as deli manager. She enjoyed playing cards, including pinochle, games and going to bingo.
Shirley is survived by her loving children Rodney A. (Michelle) Peterson of Manton, MI, Robert J. (Lelia) Peterson of South Range, Paul L. Peterson of Manistique, MI, Terrie L (Bill) Frenette, of Gulliver, MI, Tammy R. (Gordon) Gould of Manistique, MI and Tina M. (Bill) Funke of L’Anse, 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, brothers Cliff Hanson of Newberry and Harley Hanson of California. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son William, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
The family will gather to celebrate her life later.
