SIGRID E. COPPLER's Obituary
SIGRID E. COPPLER, 82, of Watton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Bayside Village, L'Anse following a lengthy illness. She was born in Watton, MI. on May 31, 1926 the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Sikkila. Sigrid attended the local schools. She married George Coppler in Monroe, MI. in 1946. Sigrid was a lifelong member of Watton Apostolic Lutheran Church and loved her precious church family. She enjoyed playing cards, scrabble, cooking, baking, and helping George in the garden.
Mrs. Coppler is survived by her loving husband, George, daughter, Deb (Gerry) Gerard, son, Randy (Debbi) Coppler, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and two brothers, Wesley (Geri) Sikkila and Kenny (Esther) Sikkila. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Coppler were held at 12 noon on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Watton Apostolic Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Interment took place in the Covington Cemetery. The family received friends at the church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
