SUANN O. SUPANICH's Obituary
Suann O. Supanich, age 54, of L’Anse, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse following a lengthy illness. She was born in Detroit, MI on April 29, 1960 the daughter of Dagfinn and Loann (Thomas) Nilsen. Suann graduated from Highland High School, Detroit, MI in 1978. In January of 1988 she married Timothy R. “Tim” Supanich, Sr. in L’Anse. Suann had worked at Baraga County Memorial Hospital as a dietician. She liked being by the water and feeding the birds, especially humming birds.
Suann is survived by her loving husband Tim, children Adam Oblinsky, Timmer Supanich, Jessica Supanich and Jamie Supanich all of L’Anse, grandchildren Jaylynn, J.C., Billy, Ethen and Kaeden and her mother Loann Nilsen of L’Anse. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her father Dagfinn.
A memorial funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Pastor Jerry Bishop officiating. The family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the service. Following the service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon at the L’Anse Eagles Club.
