Susan R. LaBeau's Obituary
Susan R. LaBeau, age 57 of Baraga, MI passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, November 17, 2025. She was born in Muskegon, MI on July 10, 1968 the daughter of Robert I. Klug and Ann Hosie. Susan graduated from L’Anse High School in 1987. She attended Colorado Tech where she received 2 Masters in the Health field. Susan married Gary LaBeau, Sr in Baraga, MI October 8, 1988. He preceded her in death in 2005. Susan was a member of Bethal United Pentecostal Church in L’Anse. She loved animals and had enjoyed fishing, playing baseball, crocheting dresses, sewing, and was known affectionately by her family as “Queen Cobble” for her love of DIY.
Susan is survived by her loving children Gary (Rebecca) LaBeau, Jr of L’Anse, Shawn LaBeau of Baraga, James LaBeau of Baraga, and Michelle LaBeau (Dakota Zasada) of Bellevue, WI, grandchildren Aiyanna, Carson, Allie, Harper, and Luna, mother Ann Hosie of L’Anse, brothers Josuha Klug of L’Anse, Jeremiah Klug of L’Anse, and Timothy Henderson of Spring Lake, MI, sisters Christine Arnold of Muskegon, MI, Ann Marie Enriquez of Muskegon, MI, Jody Aubert of Muskegon, and Jenny Heikkinen of L'Anse, MI. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her father Robert I. Klug and biological mother Carol Vasquez, her husband Gary, and her brother Robert E. Klug
Funeral services for Susan will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Pastor Terry Langston officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service.
Immediately following the funeral service, the family invites friends to join them for a luncheon at Skipper's Bar and Grill, 9 Front St, L'Anse, MI 49946.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Susan’s honor to be directed to Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, PO Box 81, L’Anse, MI 49946 for Susan's funeral expenses.
Spring interment will take place in the Baraga Cemetery.
The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
