Suzanne Katherine "Sue" Knoll's Obituary
Suzanne Katherine “Sue” Knoll, age 81, of L'Anse, Michigan, passed away November 8th, 2019. With regards to contributions we are asking to do something that Sue would do. Let’s make someone feel special or pick someone up who is feeling down in honor of Sue. It could be as simple as a hug, maybe to visit someone you have been meaning to, make amends with someone, or give someone a complement and a smile… Anything you can picture Sue doing!
Sue was born in Belding, MI, daughter of the late Charles and Mathilda (Schafer) Cook. She married James Knoll on August 8, 1959. Sue was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and worked as a Registered Nurse at Baraga County Memorial Hospital for over 20 years. Sue treasured her circle of friends in the L'Anse / Baraga area along with friends she made during her winters in Mesa, AZ. She was full of energy and always up for any activity. Softball, tennis, playing cards, sewing, reading, and especially taking walks with Jim were some of her favorites.
Sue is survived by her husband, James "Jim"; sons Dick (Denise) Knoll, Mike (Patty) Knoll; her daughter Nancy (David) Hartley; grandchildren Peter (Claire) Knoll, Robert (Alyssa) Knoll, Kimberly Knoll, Timothy Knoll, Michael (Laicee) Hartley and Alexis Hartley; and three great grandchildren.
