Thomas J Paquin Sr.'s Obituary
Thomas J. Paquin, Sr, age 66, of Baraga, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Rexton, MI on July 17, 1950, the son of the late Thomas and Gloria Paquin., Thomas graduated from high school in Rexton, Michigan and then served in the US Marines during the Vietnam Era. He had worked as a commercial fisherman. Thomas was a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. He enjoyed going on bike rides and playing ball in his younger years.
Mr. Paquin is survived by his children Tahala Davis of L’Anse, Janelle Paquin of Baraga, David Paquin of Baraga and Joseph Paquin of Grand Rapids, 7 grandchildren, brother David (Cris) Paquin of Newberry and sister Connie Paquin of Newberry. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his son Thomas Jr and his sister Rose.
A celebration of Mr. Paquin's life will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Ojibwa Senior Center, Baraga, MI. Military honors will be conducted and a luncheon will be served.
