TIMOTHY W. KAURALA's Obituary
TIMOTHY W. KAURALA, 45, of L’Anse passed away Saturday March 17, 2012 at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. He was born in L’Anse, MI on October 3, 1966 the son of Wesley and Alice (Burke) Kaurala. Tim graduated form Baraga High School in 1984. He was a self-employed painter. Tim was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Baraga. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball and bowling. Tim was proud of bowling a 300 game.
Mr. Kaurala is survived by his children Travis Kaurala of East Lansing, and Taylor and Taryn Kaurala both of Houghton, father Wesley and Kathie Kaurala of Baraga, mother Alice Burke Kaurala (Rudy Jenkins), grandmother Esther Bunker of Baraga, sisters Cindy (Paul) Luokka of Mass City, MI, Kim (Steve) Domitrovich of Superior, WI, and Amy (George) Truscott of Greenland, MI. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Memorial funeral services for Mr. Kaurala were held at 1 pm Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Pastor John Autio officiating. The family received friends at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of the service. Following the memorial funeral service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon in the Harrington Gathering Room, located at the funeral home.
