Our deepest sympathy to Helvi, Elaine and families. Just heard of Toivo's passing. He was a joy to know and spend time with. I would sit and have coffee with Toivo and Helvi after helping with their household chores. He will be greatly missed. God Bless and take care! Gladys

I didn't know toivo well but his passing has brought back many memories of roger. He is still missed and remembered by many. Now father and son are reunited! That is a nice thought.

My Deepest sympathy to you Helvi, Elaine and families. I think of Toivo and Roger often, being a young child neighbor of yours living in Covinton. Mom (Norma) passed away also in March of 2009. I know your hurt and am truly sorry I can't make the funeral services. My dad Waino will make the journey from Calumet, he is also 83. Our condolences to your family during this loss. Growing up next door to Helvi and Toivo they touched my heart from the times they let us go through their garden to Halloween and the Juicy Fruit gum. My children got to experience some of their hearts while visiting my mom and dad next door to the Heikkinens.
