Dear Lisa and Jeff, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear mother. I know how difficult it is to lose a loved one. Know that my prayers are with you during this tough time. I want you to know how much your home and family meant to me. Many of my fondest childhood memories were in your home with your family. I’m sure you remember that I was either calling your house or knocking on your door. I was a little pest but your mom always greeted me with patience and kindness. She served me my first glass of sweet tea and helped Lisa and I embark upon our first business venture, a Kool-Aid stand. She helped us save up the Kool-Aid packets and dig up the spare change to purchase it. She encouraged us in our dream to be the next greatest Olympic gymnasts as she watched our performances on the balance beam your dad built for us, and what a great man he was. I had many adventures in your backyard and your basement, dreamed and imagined about the future with Lisa in her room. Your family was like a second family to me. I have missed your mom and dad and will continue to miss them. I will always remember your mom as a wonderful and caring woman. I love you and God bless.

Dear Judy, I am so sad to hear about Wanda's death. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I remember when you lived in L'Anse and went to school here. I remember you lived in Tuttle's house. I remember how much Wanda talked about her "little sister" and loved her.
Did you remember that WAnda came to live with us when you and your folks left town? Also I have
great memories of a trip to Mac. Island that you, Wanda, my Mom and I took. Do you remember that trip?

Dear Lisa and Jeff,
We are so saddened to hear about your Mom. I have great memories of fun times with her. When your grandparents left L'Anse, your Mom came to live at the Campbell house with my Mom and me. It was like having a "big sister". That was when she was also working for Mr. Walsh.
Last summer, Karl and I were driving through Wis, namely Two Rivers. I remembered coming there to visit your family. Jeff was just an infant. Must have been a long, long time ago. Anyway I got out my cell phone and called Baraga right then, I had the nicest time remincing with her..
I'm so glad I shared so many memories with her then.... I will cherish my memories, and hope that you remember yours.
