Wesley W. Kaurala's Obituary
Wesley W. Kaurala, age 84 of Baraga, MI passed away peacefully Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Elo, MI on August 2, 1940 the son of the late Wilbert and Esther (Uusitalo) Kaurala. Wesley graduated from Baraga High School in 1958. He had worked as an accountant for Pettibone Corp for 43 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Mission United Lutheran Church, Pelkie. Wesley enjoyed spending time with his family, watching and playing sports, card games, hunting, spending time at his farm property and spending winters in California. Wesley had also coached baseball for many years.
Wesley is survived by his loving family; wife Kathie Kaurala of Baraga and Torrance, CA, daughters Cindy (Paul) Luokka, Kim (Steve) Domitrovich, and Amy (George) Truscott, step children Maryellen (Andre) Vuilleumier, Corey Clish, and Jay Clish, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister Syl (Daryl) Jestila, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Timmy.
Funeral services for Wesley will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 at Mission United Lutheran Church, Pelkie with Pastor Kelly Ylitalo officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Immediately following the funeral service, interment will take place in the Pelkie Cemetery. A luncheon will then be held in the church hall..
